Birthday Glitz and Glam

So my birthday was on Wednesday the 23rd and we're going out with some friends tonight to celebrate. I haven't decided yet what I'll wear, but I've been eyeing these pics for inspiration. I'm thinking lace, fur (if the weather permits - it's still 100 degrees out!), lots of sparkly things - makeup, shoes, and accessories. At first I thought of wearing a simple masquerade mask with inspiration from Kate, but I think only she could pull that off that perfectly. I have to say I think that's my favorite picture of her of all time. I've also been contemplating wearing some fun headgear. I've been searching for fun horns or maybe ears a'la olsen...

It's been an amazing labor day weekend so far. This holiday brought a 4-day weekend for my boy and me as we had a lot of exciting things to celebrate. Thursday was pizza and champagne, Friday brought EXTREMELY potent margaritas and tacos, Saturday was a random house party in the valley and today we took the pup to the dog beach in Huntington followed by Inglorious Bastards which is insanely good. Tomorrow I think we may go ice skating to beat the heat and then hit up the aquarium. I'll be exhausted by the time this weekend is over. I picked up this amazing vintage fringe shawl at the Pasadena antique mall earlier this week and the boots were a snag in a buy 1 get the other 1/2 off deal. The heat wave seems to finally be letting up, but now I'm beginning to miss the warm summer nights. The shawl was perfect for tonight's cooler weather. Oh and the bag which is only half visible in these pics is one of my fave F21 finds ever. I'll post close-ups soon. I hope you're all having as much fun this weekend as I am!

cant beat the heat

It is soo hot in LA right now - over 100 degrees and I'm so over it! I've already purchased at least 8 new fur items for fall. Bring it on!!!!

the livin's easy

In 23 days I'll be a quarter century old (scary) and summer is officially coming to an end (sad). Although I am really excited for fall!
